Good news for developers who use Visual Studio® 2012: most of our products are now available directly from the NuGet package gllery, and therefore, you can also download and automatically configure the appropriate DlhSoft product assemblies directly from the development environment since it offers full NuGet integration:
- right click References on your application project in Solution Explorer and select Manage NuGet Packages;
- make sure Online section is open in the left side of the new dialog window that appears;
- type the name of the product you need to get referenced to search for it in the top-right corner of the window (or type DlhSoft there to get a list of available products);
- finally, use the Install button to get packages downloaded and configured for your application:
The big advantage of using NuGet packages is keeping the libraries up to date: whenever we will have new releases, we will publish package updates that you would be able to get from Manage NuGet Packages window easily too.
Note, anyway, that by downloading NuGet packages, you would actually get the trial versions of the software components, but – still – as they are full featured and time unlimited, you would be able fully test them “live” in your applications. To get started and occasionally later, you may still need to access our online Web site, documentation, and/or sample source code to get hints about using our components – we haven’t included documentation itself with the packages in order to limit the initially required download size. You can download and install the full products and/or get specific sample applications that you need to review directly from our Web site – all development component products have Download links and Samples pages available from top menu of their Home pages.
Finally, if all your tests succeed and you need to purchase product licenses, you will be required to finally download and install the full software packages from the Web site in order to be able to use the License Manager tool provided to make licensing easier. (But even then, for most products you will have an option to install the purchased licenses manually, as this eventually gets down to simply renaming and copying .lic files, since we use the standard .NET Framework licensing scheme, whenever applicable.)
