Updated date picker component for HTML5 and JavaScript

As you probably know, our GanttChartView component for HTML5 and JavaScript® allows end users to select Start and Finish dates for tasks using a built in DatePicker control (that you can also use separately, if you have a Gantt Chart Hyper Library license).

With the most recent product build – 5.3.1 – it has got even better:

  • Weekend days (as configured by settings.working{WeekStart|Finish} fields) are now disabled in DatePicker’s calendar:
  • A new TimePicker control is displayed when clicking the time part of the date value, allowing the end user to select a time of day value without affecting the previously selected date (actually we use a combined DateTimePicker instance):
  • And finally, the end user has 3 levels of calendar selectors to easily reach the date value he or she wishes to set (two of them – months and years are displayed below; we let you to discover the third – decades):

Besides these new features, when used separately from the Gantt Chart, Calendar, DatePicker, TimePicker, and DateTimePicker controls now also support (where applicable):

  • dynamically highlighting (using either CSS classes or styles) of any displayed date or time value (using delegate JavaScript® functions);
  • dynamically disabling of any displayed date or time value (also using a delegate JavaScript® function);
  • displaying multiple month rows and/or columns:
  • configuring multiple date or date range selection modes (using select/unselect clicks or drag and drop operations).
